A GAME FOR THE AGES!

In a football game measured by four quarters, Mountain View won the first two, Bend the next two, but in the end, it was the Cougars who came away with the win and the IMC Championship!

Going into halftime, Second ranked Mountain View led a stunned Lava Bears squad 27-0, and it looked like the Cougars would steam-roll their way to the win.

But Fifth ranked Bend had other ideas as they came out in the second half with 26 unanswered points (helped by 2 Cougar turnovers) to pull within one point with just :24 remaining in the game.

With the home crowd and the momentum, Bend decided to go for 2 points and the win. But Lava Bear quarterback Beau Walker’s pass was intercepted  in the end zone by Mountain View's Mike Warsaw, and the Cougars not only had the win, but secured their first undefeated regular season, and very first outright IMC championship!
